Add this signature to a PDF and download it in your browser. Free, no account. Sending it through Tarchos Sign is a separate step.

Nothing is uploaded — your signature is made and saved entirely in your browser. Try the real signing flow.

How it works

Entirely in your browser — no upload, no account.

1. Draw or type it

Draw with a mouse, trackpad, or finger — the pen smooths your strokes like real ink — or type your name and pick one of eight handwriting styles. Choose black, blue, or navy ink.

2. Download or copy

Download a transparent PNG cropped tightly to your signature, or copy it straight to your clipboard to paste into Word, Google Docs, or an email.

3. Sign a PDF (optional)

Open a PDF, click to place your signature, the date, or text, drag it into position, and download the signed PDF — all in your browser.

What you get

  • A transparent-background PNG, cropped to your signature
  • Smooth, ink-like strokes with undo, pen thickness, and black, blue, or navy ink
  • Eight handwriting styles for typed signatures
  • Sign a PDF in the browser: signature, date, and text, then download
  • Copy to clipboard for Word, Google Docs, and email
  • No account, no email, no upload
  • Works on desktop and mobile

Frequently asked questions

Is this signature generator really free?
Yes. Drawing or typing a signature, downloading the PNG, and adding it to a PDF work with no account, no payment, and no email address. Those steps run in your browser. If you choose to send the PDF to someone else through Tarchos Sign, it is kept temporarily in this browser until you sign in and choose to upload it.
Can I sign a PDF with it?
Yes. Click “Sign a PDF with it”, open your PDF, click where you want your signature, and add the date or a line of text if you need them. Drag and resize until it looks right, then download the signed PDF. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
Can I get someone else to sign my PDF?
That is what Tarchos Sign itself does: it emails the other party a secure link, they sign on any device, and everyone receives the completed PDF with an audit trail and completion certificate. The free plan needs no credit card, and a PDF you prepared here carries over after you sign up.
What file format do I get?
A PNG image with a transparent background, cropped tightly to your signature so it drops cleanly onto a document, PDF, or form without a white box around it.
Can I use this signature on a legal document?
You can add the image to your own PDF. This free tool places images and text; it does not verify a signer or produce a signing history, audit trail or completion certificate. If you need a recorded signing workflow with another person, use Tarchos Sign or try the sample signing flow below.
Does the drawn or typed signature get saved anywhere?
Drawing, typing and exporting run in your browser without uploading your signature or PDF. Choosing “Send it for signature” saves a temporary PDF copy in this browser for up to three days so you can pick it up after signup or login. You can dismiss that copy from the dashboard. It uploads to your workspace only when you continue through the document upload step.
What is the difference between this and the electronic signature test?
This page makes a signature image and can place it, the date or text on your own PDF for download. The electronic signature test takes you through reviewing and signing a sample document with a completion record, so you can see the workflow your recipients would use.
